When we had a look at the performance of Vita for Facebook, there was LOTS of red (red = bad), so while we've been working on implementing the nav drawer, we also looked at how we could use the techniques mentioned in this article to further improve the performance of the app. There's now much more green (green = good) and the app performs noticeably better, especially on lower-spec & older devices.
